Curiosity
“Not long ago, I had the opportunity to talk to a well-known head-hunter, a woman who’d made her fortune helping companies make inspired hiring decisions of top-level personnel. I asked her what her secret was. If she had two or three extremely qualified people, as she often did, how did she pick the one to recommend? She leaned over and whispered, “Curiosity. I look for the one with the most curiosity about everything.” “Curiosity?” I mused. “Tell me more.” She chuckled. “See, you’re catching on already. The ones I hire are always more interested in learning than in proving how much they know.””
